Skiatook football dramatics continue

Skiatook football has had plenty of drama the past two weeks.  The Bulldogs have split a pair one-point games.

Shawnee rallied late in week five for a 22-21 win.  Last week, however, Skiatook reversed that in beating McAlester 27-26.

The Bulldogs, noted for a strong rushing attack, thanks mainly to Kyle McLaughlin, took to the air to edge the Buffaloes.

Quarterback Cameron Hudson had three touchdown passes, the last covering 27 yards to Billy Beyen to put the Bulldogs up 27-20 in the third quarter.

McAlester scored with 1:23 left and decided to go for two after a Skiatook penalty.  The Buffaloes had a bad snap on that attempt though.

McAlester recovered the ensuing onside kick but lost a fumble deep in Bulldog territory with 50 seconds remaining.

Skiatook has another tough test on Thursday when it hosts district 5A-3 leader Tulsa Memorial at 7:00.
